The Healthcare and Welfare Systems Division’s FY2015 business activity report meeting was held on February 15, 2016 with 78 participants.
The Division Director reported on the division’s activities during the fiscal year. This was followed by reports on related topics from the chairs of the Regional Healthcare System Committee, the Health Support Systems Committee, and the Welfare Information Systems Committee.
 
In addition, MD, PhD Ryuichi Yamamoto, president of the Medical Information System Development Center, delivered a special lecture entitled “Handling of Healthcare Information under the Revised Privacy Protection Law.” In this lecture, he also referred to the identification systems such as Social Security and Tax Number System (also known as the My Number system), and healthcare ID. It was the recent “hottest” topic to attract the participants’ keen attention.
